Ingredients  
24½ oz    "Seeds of Change" Tomato Basil Genovese sauce  
  Or  
24½ oz    "Seeds of Change" Tuscan Tomato and Garlic sauce  
12 oz    crushed Fire Roasted Tomatoes  
1½ lbs    96% Lean Ground Beef  
19¾ oz    Italian sausage, mild  
3   Star anise, whole  
 
1 Mix well to blend the beef and the sausage. Brown over medium heat.
2 Place the "Seeds of Change" sauce and the crushed tomatoes in a 5-quart saucepan. Add the star anise. Bring to a slow simmer.
3 Add the beef/sausage mixture. Simmer for 2 hours over low heat. The longer this simmers, the better it is.
4 Prepare the pasta per your liking. Place the pasta on a serving platter and spoon some of the sauce over. Serve with a fresh baked Italian Bread and green salad.

 Cooking Tips
Try this sauce with pasta and a 1990 "Capitel de Roari", Luigi Righetti , Amarone. This is a big red wine. Big and fruty with current, big black bing cherry. Yet soft and velvety.
